What the app hears, reads, keeps and sends.
Plain English first. If anything here is unclear, email hello@getcuedin.com and we will fix the page.
What the app does in a meeting
Get Cued In runs on your Mac. While you are in a meeting it turns the meeting audio into text, notices when someone asks you for a number, an owner, a date or a decision, looks for the answer in the sources you connected, and shows a short answer with its source. If it cannot find support in your sources, it says “I could not verify this from your connected sources.”
Which meetings it works with
The Zoom app, the Teams app and Google Meet in a browser, on a Mac. Mac only for now.
What it can read
- Only the sources you connect: Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar, folders of files you pick, and Slack. Jira and Notion are coming.
- Connected sources re-sync once a day so answers reflect recent changes. You can disconnect a source at any time, which deletes its synced copy.
- Access is read-only. The app never sends email, posts messages or edits your files.
Where processing happens
- Speech to text runs on your Mac.
- Local models are the default. With Ollama or LM Studio, your transcripts, documents and answers stay on your Mac.
- If you choose a cloud model (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or DeepSeek) with your own key, the question and the matching excerpts from your sources are sent to that provider to write the answer. Their terms apply to that request. The app shows which provider is active during every meeting.
- Your synced sources and meeting transcripts are stored on your Mac. Our servers keep only your account (name, email and sign-in), not your sources, transcripts or answers.
Consent
You are responsible for telling participants that you are using a tool that listens to the meeting, and for following the recording rules where you and they are. Some places require everyone’s consent. To make this easy, the app always shows a listening pill, pauses with one click, and gives you a disclosure line to paste into the meeting chat:
“Heads up: I am using Get Cued In, which listens to this call to help me answer questions from my own notes.”
Your account
- Your account stores your name, email and sign-in details. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider (Neon Auth); we never see them.
- We use your email to verify your account, send sign-in codes and tell you about your Mac app download and updates. We do not sell it or share it for advertising.
- To delete your account, email hello@getcuedin.com.
What we do not claim
The launch build’s speed and accuracy have not been measured yet, so we make no claims about either. We will publish numbers once we have them.
